What happened "today"though was one faction of them invited the Legion to their doorstep like Azshara requiring all elfkind to save them and the other had to be saved by a night elf from their addiction. That's not exactly a trustworthy reputation
It really isnt but givven that The legion managed to invade azeroth without any magical wells or by elfs doing and that at this point everyone could join the legion i find it hard from Tyrande to keep it that Personal. Im not a mind reader so is hard for me to.
