I love how blood elfs whole story is centered around their home being destroyed and population wiped by an undead psycho, “never forget the sunwell” and all that, but when the same happens to night elfs no one talks about it in game one patch later

Exactly. They've been sorta stuck in the past writing-wise. Considering the impact the Kaldorei have on Azeroth both figuratively and literally, you'd think there'd be more of a focus on helping them rebuild after they've lost so much; from the Legion, Horde, and others.
For call the selves guardians they could rebuild but also try the very least to let others know their actions can also cost much or reach something to prevent anything similar
