I don't care if it means I lose followers, If I see someone being wrongly accused of something, I will step in to defend them. There are a lot of small, starting artists who just need to be guided and informed how to properly use and credit references that they use.

Do not accuse someone of something just on a gut feeling, not when it is so easily disproved. I understand that it can be painful to think that someone has copied your piece or character or pose, but sometimes it is on total coincidence that these things happen.

ESPECIALLY when you yourself have used a reference.

In my early art Journey i barely used refs after seeing so much negatives around it but that fear also costed me of taking more time then i should to improve my style using refs is a powerful tool.

I do not understand the negativity around references. How else are people supposed to learn how something looks, accurately? People are always saying to study anatomy and foreshortening, and a really good way to do that is use sources like
@SenshiStock . Credit is key.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like
I still remember a big drama on tumblr some years ago but someone called out an artist for using poses from real life pics around the Internet to do their commisions as something bad to do. I dont remember how ended but most ppl were saying theres nothing wrong with it.
