🇬🇧 41% (9) of the RAF A400M Atlas fleet of 22 do not fly. Of the remaining 59% (13) that do fly, some of them are deployable, and some are homebodies doing training and certification. #ZM406 returned from the Airbus depot in Getafe, Spain 🇪🇸.

I need every last one of you to tweet to Penny that her government is literally de-platforming me.

Our democracy thrives on freedom of speech, the ability to critically assess ideas and scrutiny by high quality journalism. In an age where conspiracy theorists seek to frighten and mislead the public, these things matter more than ever.

For every “Dan” excluded and barred from public discourse there’s a Sam, John, Sally, Martha, etc. This is a policy to bar smart people from helping the nation

'How much expertise is being excluded from the public sphere?' Defence expert @DanKaszeta, who was blacklisted from Whitehall for anti-Tory tweets under Jacob Rees-Mogg's new rules, tells @mrjamesob 'there's a whiff of Stalinism' here.

A fascinating thread showing that 41% of the RAF A400M fleet have not flown in at least the last 30 days, while an RAF C130 has made a trip to Benghazi recently...

🇬🇧 That's the challenge faces between now and the end of June. Get his RAF A400M fleet above 75% flying, after the RAF was dragged in the mud by a classified opportunistic leak showing much of his A400M fleet doesn't fly. I think they can pull it off.
Quote Tweet
Replying to @MilRotors
Agreed, which I think the classified leak last week portrayed. Over the next weeks I'll publish the numbers as the Hercs are put out to pasture. I think the A400M numbers will steadily increase, and by watching regularly the public will see the RAF do have this under control.
Trevor Paglen has been very influential regarding my interest in #OSINT and specifically tracking flights using their transponders. Trevor presented this talk at Google back in Feb 11, 2009 - and it still holds up! If OSINT interests you, it's a must-see.

🇨🇦 When does #CANSOFCOM have their next ISR training over Ottawa scheduled for? Why not publish those training dates so the public can opt out of being targeted by turning their wireless devices off. Since it's only "training" there would be no OPSEC issues to worry about.

Något som gör Arctic Challenge Exercise unikt är det flygövningsområde som vi förfogar över. Det möjliggör kvalitativ övning av storskaliga, multinationella flygoperationer. #svfm #flygvapnet #ace23

In Elon's case, his aircraft travel is very predictable and publicised, so it's not really hard to track him based on behaviour alone. The PIA program is an FAA money pit that's made some consultants very rich, and Americans no safer from a skilled adversary.

However, the statement in the article that using the PIA program makes it "essentially impossible to figure out whose plane it is" is nonsense. It requires different methods and skills but it's absolutely nowhere near impossible; it's entirely dependant on their pattern of life.

Elon said that his jets could not be tracked without using non-public data–without ever saying what that non-public data was. But it seems that he simply didn't finish enabling the FAA privacy feature that would have actually made his jets hard to track. vice.com/en/article/7kx

Maybe I'm in the minority, but with how cheap SDRs are, wouldn't we want to add MORE bands to car/truck receivers? Adding weather bands? Air bands? Marine VHF? 🤔

You do remember that, right? That was RAF C-130J Hercules ZH871 #43C099 as call sign #RRR5994 and #RRR5995 back on May 7, 2023 flying in and out of Benghazi, Libya spending very little time on the ground. globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=43c099&l

🇬🇧🇱🇾 In case you were concerned for their safety, RAF C-130J Hercules #ZH868 made it home yesterday from their unannounced flight to Benghazi Libya; Haftar-controlled territory. Not only did they land in Benghazi, and take off safely; there was no press coverage, again. 🤷‍♂️
Quote Tweet
Are they flying without transmitting a call sign to avoid being noticed flying back from Benghazi, Libya 🇱🇾? Noted. That's RAF C-130J Hercules ZH868 #43C14B globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=43c14b&l
