Robert Martin in the news again. I remember when I first read Clean Code, shortly after it came out. I've never been more enamored with a book; no book ever affected my career like that one. I wrote the worst code of my career under that book's spell. Beginners beware. 1/

Never writing a line of code unless there's a test to verify it is absurd. Not every piece of code needs to have unit tests written against. Breaking your code into myriad, endless teeny tiny functions will make your code *less* readable (related: https://medium.com/@copyconstruct/small-functions-considered-harmful-91035d316c29 …)
