Is it in the best interest of large, high revenue/employee companies to collude and all adopt location-based pay for remote employees? Facebook seems to have cleared the way for this. I suppose this works as long as none of them defect?

Facebook used it to claw back money from people who move already. Crappy decision but hardly a crappy company (hence why it will be copied by many crappier companies)
