to each other. No one seems interested if you don't promise immediate material or sexual gain. I think this is worse than loneliness. It's a type of nonexistence. Eastern European, woman, 30s - you're simply outside people's peripheral vision. I've learnt a lot from this, really.

It's a big problem throughout Western cities. Get outside them in the US and people's humanity returns. Can't be easy to feel like that
