An NPR was interviewing some Journalismismism Expert about Assange this morning. The NPR was very concerned as to whether Assange was a Journalismist. The Expert kept almost but not quite pointing out that journalists have no special rights that other citizens lack.

The government shall make no laws abridging the freedom of the press. But no where does the government get to decide who counts as press and who does not. The first amendment is for everyone, not just journalists.
