Chatting to law student last week who told me when she was a homeless teenager in Sydney she’d spend her days in there, staying out of trouble and educating herself by reading everything and anything.

The City of Sydney Library behind the Town Hall always welcomed homeless folk when I worked there as a casual in late C20. We were on first name terms with many regulars. I'm not sure about its flash Customs House HQ today.
