I have never used them, I do still have them. The prism coating has crazed somewhat, so I'm not sure if they're still all that functionally useful. But I'm open to ideas about what to do with these (now) historical artifacts.
(The Coin kind of just got included in this tale by proximity. The only connection here is that I'm not sure what to do with it, but am open to ideas.)

I’ve just been dumping this stuff in a box and leaving it in storage. 
Maybe at some point they’ll be historically interesting, maybe not.
Personally I can't imagine paying a subscription to the existence of these items, but I am sure it will be fun to open the time-capsule down the line..
Yeah, the subscription is more for other stuff which is still occasionally useful and would be time consuming to replace (mostly mountaineering gear). Electronics get a free ride.
