For all the challenges… traversing San Francisco, one is increasingly accompanied by a bleeping and whirring Gibsonian cornucopia of variously-wheeled, battery-boosted devices. Shenzhen is quietly reinventing urban mobility. 
Would argue it's Stephensonian; clear roadmap that next is electromagnetic harpoons (ask me about the time I fully spec'd how to actually build one of these..)
