I'm sorry. That's an awful thing to go through. I learned the hard way myself that for
@EFF to get involved, after I had spoken to any other lawyer, I would have had to contact them. There are weird rules in play with these things. -
That seems weird that the
@EFF cant contact@CEOmrGreen eg even to find out who his lawyer is/make initial offer to meet etc. This case is EXACTLY the kind of reason I donate annually to the EFF and should never have been brought about by@Microsoft cc@MicrosoftVC -
Yeah. It's not an
@EFF thing, it's a rules-of-how-lawyers-work thing apparently.. it's bad form for lawyers to contact someone who has already picked their counsel. Which happened to me, and surprised me. To be clear, I *don't* know that that's what happened here.
