Almost a third of Michael’s donation is matched now, and if we hit the $1000 goal we unlock another matching donor. We are hoping to send another 100+ class to Strange Loop 2018!

This means we are only $200 from unlocking the second round of matching by @FiloSottile

Today: $970 raised in matching donations for @ProjAlloy out of @sch’s pledged $1000. We are *so* close to hitting the milestone!

Over the mark!

So, just to recap today: @sch offered to match donations up to $1,000 for @ProjAlloy and in less than a day we DID that! Any further donations, up to another $1,000 (well, $980) will be matched by @FiloSottile - matching is still in effect. Thank you to everyone who chipped in!

Project Alloy exists in large part because of donations from people who work in tech and who want to pay it forward and get underrepresented folks in the room. Of $1000 in donations to @ProjAlloy that @FiloSottile offered to match, $930 remain to be doubled.

We always hoped the organization could be carried by contributions from people in the tech world, and it's been great and a source of hope to find that this has been true.
