I see quitting Facebook as an act of leadership and as a statement of values and I hope we all find ways to use it (+ related properties) less and less. Beyond the company, there are bigger questions/concerns about how to deal with unprecedented internet ad & surveillance tools.

Secondly, I think there’s an argument to be made that Facebook’s entire product premise is the democratization of surveillance - the thrill of being able to passively know what your friends are up to. To me that is problematic (without comparison)
