Bad sign--indicative of weak players (overly indebted?) in a field that still has some juice to it.
When an online-only retailer announces they’re opening physical storefronts, is your gut reaction that it’s more likely a good sign or a bad sign? (why?)

Generally mixed feelings but it depends on the business. I'm always worried about places I like going out of business, and opening storefronts has a lot of risk associated, but if it's a place where physical demonstration of the product is useful, I'm usually tentatively excited.

We find stores dramatically increase conversion and spend of site visitors in that city, far more than the cost of operating the store
