Trying to track down that essay about increased choice and Walmart-brand scotch. Where did I read that?

I *feel* like this was a slatestarcodex thing or something, but I just can't find it anywhere. The argument was ~ that even if you might not personally choose Walmart-brand scotch, the existence of such a thing increased consumer choice which is better for everyone.

Clearly you have to write the essay and then the _well actually_ folks will show up and let you know that someone else already said something like this
