Cause amortized hardware? Sure, just saying it's not quite burning fossil fuels. The rest of the bitcoin ecosystem though, yikes on the power consumption.

It takes ~hour of charging to get 80kWh of energy which is worth say $15? If you can afford a Tesla can't imagine you would value your time so poorly. So hopefully just a novelty.
