Moving most to ALLPCB lately. Great for 2 layer, 0.006. Occasional WTF problem, but worth it. Easy to place orde. Upload gerbers to China Sunday night, have boards in NYC Thursday afternoon. So crazy cheap it changes the game. Now sometimes blindly order PCB and skip breadboard.

I am SO surprised you are the first to chime in on AllPCB. Same - great for just "seeing what it looks like" I've used it several times now, and was kind of using this tweet to see where they're at for folks.
-
Was happy enough with bare PCBs over last month that I just sent them a PCBA run. So shockingly cheap and fast, I won't believe it is true until boards show up! Game changer if it works. :)
-
Send updates! Would love to hear how it goes - however it turns out :)

100 boards (35mmx40mm, 6 lines, 18 placements, 1 side) 11 calendar days from file upload to boards in NYC (parts pre-staged) $2.80 per board (fab+PCBA) 1 minor defect (part moved during reflow) ...I'd call it a game-changing success!pic.twitter.com/xQtXDjkg1c

Fantastic! (Cute boards!!) Do you track which AllPCB suppliers you end up using? Do you try to consistently work with the same ones, or just bid per job?
-
If there are multiple suppliers behind ALLPCB then that is hidden from me. I have a single contact with
@allpcb.com address and boxes all come from same place and are branded with ALLPCB logo on the sides.pic.twitter.com/13I9DfuqtW

Huh! The website has changed since I last looked. As recently as this spring there was a way to upload jobs for bid.

What qtyies have you run with macrofab?
-
Last one I did was 10. Next one will be 5. Nothing too big.

OSH Park and/or PCBWay, depending on size, quantity, lead time, etc.
-
PCBWay FTW!

We also did assembly with them this year (qty 500), they did a nice job. Assembly & testing was quick -- about 2 days with a request to rush.
-
happy to hear that
