      Claim: Excel is the dual of a programming language. In Excel you see the data but hide the logic. In a PL it's the opposite.

      there are a lot of dimensions there. spreadsheets by default obscure the code dimension. some do highlighting tricks to try to show hidden structure. but yeah maybe breaking out of the grid, like notebooks as mentioned?

      Whoah this is awesome. At about halfway, love "gisting" functions. Also great how the data view changes to show its governing function - that's brilliant.
