Something tells me that your “line of work” is also probably an outlier. I’m with you all the way. Just not getting my hopes up.
I still don't quite see why laptops can't follow watches, phones, and iPads in terms of being always-connected.

I assume this is more an issue of available network bandwidth. The laptop is designed to be a mobile device.
