genuinely — taking flying lessons from a certified flight instructor (CFI)! (is that what you meant?)

Yeah I'm serious, wasn't sure what kind of license one needs.

You get a pilot's license to fly gliders (like other sorts of pilot's licenses — for powered airplanes, helicopters, etc.)
