This might be the most boring use case, but I think I might like VR if it let me virtually practice talks first-person in situ beforehand.

Like in the same auditorium or more for avatars that could engage (clap, ask questions)?

Yea - just give me a spot on stage. Empty would even be fine but avatars would be super & animated = amazing. (Even record actors and loop)

Software reacting to the talk seems hard. The point is to deliver the talk smoothly in real life at some point; practice/familiarity ++

It'd be amazing if you could basically do Toastmasters in VR. Maybe even allow public talks.

I looked into it a while ago. Don't really remember the details now but waitlist is why I bounced.

Well, like half of back surgeries are totally useless & the patient wouldve had the same effect if theyd just done the post-op rest sans 🔪🔪🔪

IIRC this already exists :) just not sure how many practice stages they have or on which VR platform

Yeah it's tricky because if you don't have every venue it's not as good. I would want the specific venue.

Google Street View might have a 360 at the location you want, or you could show up early to capture one and practice at hotel :)

I've heard that there is significant demand for VR from trial lawyers who want to practice in front of a jury.

YES, this is perfect. Even better if it streamed your audio so people could give remote feedback.
