Startup idea: CNC manufacturing of lead/tungsten/osmium keys/cards/etc for luxury brands - improbable weights subconsciously signal Quality.
I can't think of a better "don't stay too long" notice for guests than a lead key! Wears out in 10 uses, slowly poisons you, etc.

Solid lead isn't that dangerous AFAIK. It would need to be coated in tungsten/osmium for durability anyway.

Sure-inhaling/ingesting is when things really go poorly. But you inevitably generate wear in the keyway. Also don't envy the CNC machinists

That said — as a symbol — I'd probably still interpret receiving a lead key as a kind of metallurgical floriography
