The new nylon SLS machine from @formlabs looks great! https://formlabs.com/3d-printers/fuse-1 … looking forward to less goop and more sweet precision parts
why does it need to be in the home shop? why is that the landmark destination?

-
it is for me, because that’s the shop I have :)
-
nice. I can get behind that. That said I somewhat doubt this particular highly dusty technology is gonna be a good fit in any home shop.
-
I mean, people do woodworking at home; I haven’t used one of these, but are they worse than a disk sander?
-
I haven't read their MSDS but for myself: I will tolerate a small amount of sawdust. I would never want to regularly inhale nylon dust.
-
and even ZCorp machines (this but printing basically superglue onto cornstarch) are super incredibly dusty. Even with collection systems.
-
those at least are always always kept in their own enclosed rooms and you can taste the material in the air when you walk in.
-
for some reason I assumed the enclosures would keep the dust enclosed too, but what you’re saying makes sense.
