Twitter poll: when you read "his eyes flashed" in a story, what do you think that physically means?

the physical reflex of eyes first expressing unbridled anger then contained, occurring very briefly & without verbal expression
this can be a slight widening of the eyelid aperture, followed often by a slight squint to control, perhaps w/accompanying siccade

I think the gleam off the fluid surface of the whites of ones eyes is responsible for the "flash"

flashed isn't always associated with anger, but this gets at it! I want to take videos. Like the green flash

I think this could be really cool. Generalized: a video clip library of microexpressions, say (or even macro ones!)

imagine watching a film where each frame (or like n-grams say multi-second sequence) had been labeled

they show a lot of this kind of thing in Lie To Me (which is, otherwise, pretty indifferent TV).
