I've heard that one of the groups in the Media Lab in the mid-90s tried measuring GSR & it triggering a camera to record
oh man so - one of my favorite ever social / computing research stories:
-
-
-
when galvanic skin response spiked and they recorded, they ended up with basically just what the person remembered abt their day
-
then: Eureka! Invert the trigger & collect all the "I don't remember"
-
apparently this recording was unwatchably boring
-
tldr brains/memory have decent inbuilt compression
