It's caused me to reflect on my (albeit somewhat limited) conference experiences. The first conf I ever went to was #SWE, jr year of college

Seeing hundreds of other women engineers was so inspiring. It was the extra push I needed when I was struggling with my eng degree.

And I finished. And went to work at MSFT and the next time I went to a conference is was #GHC14 - which was a turning point for me.

That year Satya really stepped in it re: asking for raises, ally bingo, the "we talk, you listen" redo of the allies pannel.

And as I watched all this unfold, I started following these incredible, vocal women on Twitter: @catehstn, @hypatiadotca, @triketora

Which eventually lead to me finding out about !GHC/#gracenotes a year later, which lead to me getting an invite to attend @devopsdayssv.
