ULPs are so critical to how EAGLE works. How do people live without import_dxf2poly_v4.ulp and negasilk.ulp and all the rest?
The ecosystem is such a such a delicate cobweb. Tools for electrical engineers have gone so unloved for so long, it's like UI time travel.

that's why I just gave in and bought Altium. Works, and while pricey not much more than a few PCB and SMT spins.

however, Altium is also UI time travel. I have not yet seen reason to like it any more than I like EAGLE (not much.)

tools like multi route (useful for 50+ || lines), matched net len, auto ground stitching. Not perfect but works for me.
