I want people who support building more housing to have a way to show their views.

This is a lark, but, what do you do. I'm designing a shirt.
-
I'm going to design it to look punk rock.

BUILD HOUSING https://teespring.com/build-housing-sf … show off your flex and your support for more housing in SF. Men & women's styles + sweet graphics
-
@starsandrobots A good thing about this shirt is you can wear it lots of places, for example the climbing gym, biking on Market, or to yoga!

@starsandrobots are there actually people against this? I can't think of a single valid argument. -
@Meowdip I had an argument with a long-time SF living Lyft driver — as we passed new luxury apartments; he "if only they would stop!" -
@Meowdip he actually quickly came around to my "no! they need to build more!" after a quick supply/demand discussion.. -
@Meowdip and also the "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!" sorts -
@starsandrobots your replies were too quick for my question, thanks for answering before I finished asking! -
@Meowdip oops
sorry! -
@starsandrobots no don't be sorry about perfectly anticipating my question. Sorry if it wasn't clear that I was approving of your replies.

@starsandrobots pretty sure if housing were unregulated most of SF would be bulldozed and replaced with skyscrapers -
@cambridgemike I guess I'm not arguing for outright deregulation (though Hong Kong is like this and is a superb city) -
@starsandrobots I think that vision scares people who have lived in SF for 20+ years -
@cambridgemike@starsandrobots of course, only a very small part of Hong Kong is "like Hong Kong" - End of conversation

@starsandrobots@jedmund Also, I would argue that SF doesn't need more housing. It needs less people. -
@AnthroPunk@jedmund wait, how is that a good thing -
@starsandrobots@jedmund SF is a small city with finite resources. People leaving promote growth in other regions that have resources. -
@AnthroPunk@starsandrobots This tweet gives me the feeling you don't entirely get how businesses or industries work -
@jedmund@starsandrobots Or, perhaps that I have been in the Bay Area a very, very, very, very long time. -
@AnthroPunk@starsandrobots At the end of the day, SF wasnt built for this many ppl, but they're here, so sth has to be done to accommodate -
@jedmund@AnthroPunk the planet wasn't 'built' for this many people; "move elsewhere" is not ever going to be a complete solution :-| -
@starsandrobots@jedmund Not my point. Other issues need to be solved first. CA is in a DROUGHT. How are more people going to reduce this? - 3 more replies
