@flipzagging to be clear! While I showed up at 9AM every day that whole first summer was unpaid. I didn't expect pay, they had no program. -
@flipzagging someone interceded to see that I got paid starting the 2nd summer, and they paid me decently after that. -

@flipzagging oh I don't think that's true! Internet has done so much to show what's possible. Optimistic view is "maybe I can do that!" -
@flipzagging have been online since 199x? Internet has nearly "always been there" for me. Hackaday e.g. was a beacon!
