What makes audiobooks good? It seems pretty clear that some books are good audiobooks, others just are not. I don't think it's 100% content.

@starsandrobots convinced it's 85%+ narrator. I'll listen to almost anything by a few great narrators, but not some fav books by bad ones. -

@starsandrobots Some books have a strong narrative voice and, if that aligns with the audiobook narrator, that works really well. -
@starsandrobots If a book is dry or wordy on the page, a human narrator will just make that more evident. Harder to skim an audiobook.
