Would you fly in a headless (drone) passenger airliner?

When I've asked this question for the last coupla years, the answer I've gotten has mostly been 'no.' Does Germanwings news change that?

@starsandrobots remote override to force autopilot to follow the pre-programmed flight path is another option, with security concerns.

@starsandrobots So now we give control 2 an anon "pilot" somewhere on earth? Are there mult redundancies w/ comm systems? I think I'll pass.

@conradyoder rather, a plane with 'pilot-optional' controls. Self-flying plane, if you will.

@starsandrobots Nope, I'd rather trust a pilot than software. (Though maybe we need procedures to always have 2 people on the flight deck?)

@starsandrobots Spoke too soon. It's been an FAA rule since 2002 to have two people on the flight deck at all times: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/27/opinion/reducing-risks-after-the-germanwings-crash.html?_r=0 …

@starsandrobots No. The record of humans deliberately commanding a CFIT is very sparse. I don’t think this will change much WRT manned vs/un
