@starsandrobots I tried to replicate the effect by just kiling one LED with high current. Still conducts but doesn't light up.

@apexys@starsandrobots OK, just noticed that he is able to switch the LEDs on. Maybe just a n-channel jfet parallel to each LED + statics? -
@apexys@starsandrobots Statics wouldn't work the way he charges and discharges it. Do I sense a microcontroller in there? -
@apexys@starsandrobots Or he pumps HF trough the wire (555 battery) which is conducted through his finger, his arm and in the red wire. -
@apexys@starsandrobots The HF is too weak to light up each LED, so it is received by a simple tank circuit and charges a mosfets gate. -
@apexys@starsandrobots The HF is also amplitude modulated so an effect like with those one-button dimmers is created. The rest is timing.
