I’ve thought about this a lot. In a region where public transit imposes huge mental and time costs to its users - it’s hard to feel good about being anti-scooter. Yes we need norms around their placement and operation. We won’t get there under ban.https://twitter.com/cjc/status/1022210739233157121 …
Where do you fall on scooters and what’s the fix? I see: user training/new norms; banning scooters.. a third option? TBC I have seen enough Lyft driver bad behavior that I don’t wholly buy that they are not the scooters of the road.

@msuster not too long ago said Upfront Ventures passed on dockless scooters because they believe they're 10 years too early. I totally agree. We need better infrastructure first. 100% with you on the Lyft/Uber front.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

(1/2) I think scooters are too early for most markets. Most companies are utilizing a model that rolls on 8.5" tires. 8.5" is perfect for newly built bike lanes, but 8.5" is not ideal for low quality surface streets in and around fast moving traffic.
