Not to derail the thread but what do you use Anki for? I just started dropping anything I want to remember in there: quotes, history facts, trivia, etc. because my unflexed memory is crap. Curious how and why others use it...

I know what you mean ... I get grumpy when it runs out of things to test me on! I’ve got some te reo Māori vocab in there too. Good luck with your French! (Bon chance?)

I use it primarily for language-learning but you can make sets of "mems" (as they call them) for anything

Same. I can’t think of software I have ever so irrationally and fully loved. Still feels like part of my very brain was abruptly taken offline.

You know, I don't think I have a relationship with any piece of software that I'd describe as "love". I've got "investment".

Like, I've been using Emacs for 30 years, but I don't have "love" for it, I just have experience to make it do what I want.
