Hey Dan not sure if you read Jeffrey's tweet as making a point about Prop 13 (it's not that he is necessarily accruing cash-in-hand while we tweet,) but my take is that his note is in the vein of advocacy that we should fix this.

He didn't say he had a rental property that generates cash. He said his SF house earns that amount, presumably in increased value due thanks to laws like Prop 13.

Prop 13 locks in property tax at sale price? It protects people who own houses they bought for nothing that are now worth a small fortune...also some of those people are lower on the income scale... how does this affect the lack of development the lack of affordable housing?
