When I see SF politicians advertising their enthusiasm to "clean up" the streets and I know that what they mean is using police forces to cause people with no other alternative to live in even *more* marginalized scenarios, I wonder how it can be considered humane.

For two days in a row now I have bicycled past places where the people with little hope or opportunity live, and seen multiple squad cars dispatched, officers milling about and taking photos of the needy with their phone cameras, presumably to log their scores. It hurts to see.
