It's crazy, because I finished with German in 2006, 4 years later I had my intermediate English exam, and I only had 1 year of English classes, which I spent being bored out of my mind. When I went to Uni in 2009, I took up intermediate lessons for a term and I did really well.

Similar here. At some point I just started picking English versions of everything. And I also hate making gramaricul en spelink eorros, even when I see professional native writers confuse "there" with "their" and "they're".
