    I do not buy into the why anymore. I am not supporting the capitalism that is coming from Girl Scouts of America. It’s not about enriching lives and teaching life long skills and morality, it’s about turning a profit. Again, unpopular personal opinion.

    So the “skills” they are supposed to be learning are no longer valid. Online payment options, not elevator pitching or entrepreneur skills, no community goals, it’s all impersonal and prize driven. There is also no real badge earning the way it was 30 years ago. (Ugh I’m old).

    cost per-unit that much, then you are not making very good business decisions. In addition, I read their “reasoning” 100% stays within the commission. The girls are not getting a % back to go into a college fund. Parents are using their social media to promote sales.

    The cookie sales have been around longer than most of us have been alive, enriching lives at a much lower cost. I will give a little bit towards increased cost of production. However, if production cost has increased so much so, that as a company you have had to increase...

    No, I don’t believe the increased cost has anything to do with enriching lives. I was a , and Girl Scout and sold them for 10 years, lives were equally if not more enriched at $1 and $2 a box.

    Unpopular Opinion. When I was a , cookies were $1.50 and $2 a box (this was the 90s). Now they are $5 a box. I just can’t fathom spending that much on a box of cookies when I can get more cookies at a much lower cost, in a box of Oreos and Chips Ahoy.
