    Try: -Limiting yourself to only 10 mins working on a creative project. -Offering counterpoint by suggesting a different dinner place than where you friends want. -Practicing awkwardness by saying hello to a stranger on the train.

    How can designers deal with these fears? Begin by taking tiny risks to get used to the feeling of fear. And then? Do it again! Soon you’ll have a streak of wins, and it will be much easier to draw on courage.

    To draw on courage, you have to deal with courage’s nemesis and co-passenger: Fear! Fear shows up everywhere—starting a creative project, offering counterpoint to process at your workplace, or just giving feedback to a colleague.
