A set of three-dimensional coordinates represented as an NFT on Terra. [1, 2, 3].
It’s a simple primitive. And we will create an universe around it.
The first building blocks are TASKS and RESOURCES.

Sounds like from the explanation above, the tasks represent resources that can be unlocked through completing the task. And if resources map to coordinates then these "locked" resources should as well, OP please correct me if I'm wrong

It’s arbitrary, if tasks don’t map to an xyz (and are i.e. by wallet instead), could end up with the o.g. Loot mess of derivative NFTs which was not fun.
No technical reason though. It does keep the model simple for how to build on xyz which is nice.
