Swearing allegiance to an asset is stupid. I’m pro-liberty. I’m pro- whatever assets and tools best support that. I’ve lectured on BTC’s value to banks and on TV, only because I believed it to be the best tool given current information. This isn’t religion, it’s tech and money

It very clearly is a religion to many people and I'd argue that the fact that these assets/protocols have cult-like followings is why they're able to accrue significant value and stay relevant (whether they "deserve" it or not).

I could rephrase: it’s comical to prostrate yourself in front of a BTC ticker and confuse blind fealty for morality. Being a religious follower of a protocol and financial asset is silly.

I agree that it comes across as silly and illogical but the most fervent believers of BTC (the "hodlers of last resort") have profited greatly from that blind faith both monetarily and have acquired greatly increased social status.
