I don't get #openlibra. What makes libra interesting is its massive reachable user base. What's the point of forking the codebase? It won't be able to compete wrt usership.

Thats literally the most depressing thing I've heard this year.
It is the current status of blockchains. Public/open/decentralized blockchains are trying to build their own users without any help of existing platform. I think it has to be respected as an alternative market.

journey of public blockchain is not always about gaining users as soon as possible, but more about restructuring and innovating capitalism by decentralizing ownership of the platform. I think each blockchain has different prime objectives and both are important imo.
