    Slept on Icewind Dale for many years as it used to be 640x480 (without expansion) and pretty jank. Enhanced version is much more playable. Crap story, but great dungeon crawling. Has held my attention longer than Planescape with its creepy dialogue options and boring fights.

    Currently trying to fully debug a new token for Unending: The Mine. The concept is simple - it destructs when you walk into it, and you receive an attack. But what if it has the Wall passive? The attack is a push. This creates some recursive outcomes.

    Right, some 7DRLs. First up is 4KRL. I like the visual style. The idea seems to be to conquer neighbouring lands, but you're doing all by yourself as one person. To get the ability to heal and identify stuff, you have to upgrade your town. Not bad so far.

    Last day of for me. Changed the combat rules so that only the slowest member of a collision takes damage. Doesn't completely make sense but plays better. Added gold to collect for more score and other bits of polish. Will keep tuning before uploading later today.

    It's Day 6 of progress and has not been the best choice of engine for this idea. Had to cut a lot of ideas and now I'm sort of stuck. Been good to make an experimental idea. But I think there's probably going to be 3 people out there that bother to complete it.

    Mines. For a little bit of code budget I get a lot of utility. Fighting is very difficult in this game because the only way to guarantee a clean hit is to broadside it. Not easy when it's moving. Mines offer some backup in reward for good piloting.

    day 4 is up. Mostly been balancing stats and fixing edge cases and annoyances. Need to squeeze in one more terrain feature for map variety and add map progression. Then it's all all about making more dungeon tiles and tuning 17 melee weapons.

    Some slow terrain and fuel drops are in. Slow terrain has the side effect of stopping one from doing damage (to yourself or others). Code budget had room for some stars, looks more spacey now. Now the task of making a lot of dungeon tiles. Expecting a drama-bug-fix to ensue.

    Still struggling with pico 8's limits, but I have win and fail conditions in, and as many basic melee weapons as I could cram in. Got some crumble blocks and will add a couple more terrain features. Doubt I'll be able to add any spells.

    Entered an endless struggle trying to compact the code. Like packing a tiny suitcase. Made map-gen as simple as possible. Am drawing a load of prefabs to make a dungeon deck. Each chunk is pulled from the deck as you travel. Proving to be a very tough

    So I've got loot and I can scrap it for hp and fuel. But I'm at 5400+ tokens out of 8100 and I haven't even got map-gen or particles yet. I'm thinking of scrapping engines entirely. Just 5 slots, give weapons the engine stats. Might give me a lot of code back.
