I wish Mac OS didn't have that top menu bar. It makes web browsing soooo much worse than on windows, because you can't use Fitt's law to "snap" the cursor to the top of the browser when switching tabs (you have to move it back down a bit or else you hit the menu bar).

Eh, not sure I agree that this is a big problem. The menu bar is good at other things and I think it’s a reasonable trade-off to make. Power users can switch tabs with keyboard shortcuts anyway.
-
This seems like Stockholm syndrome to me :) It's so much faster to work with chrome on windows. With 20 tabs using keyboard to switch tabs is slow.
-
And just as a general rule I think an OS should think hard before they "reserve" a whole edge of the screen. They already have the bottom edge, don't take away the top edge from apps too!
-
If they gave me a real touch screen (instead of that useless strip of touch) it would be less of a problem.
-
Haha, maybe! I’ve been away from Windows for far too long to make an accurate value judgement here to be fair. I can definitely see your point, but personally I’m a big fan of having the menu bar in one consistent place rather than taking up space on every single window.

IMO they could fix it by having an opt in "collapsed" menu bar, where it disappears to e.g. 1st 25% of the screen with icons instead of text (with an "expand" button). Then Chrome could put tabs to the right.

Opt-in meaning that the *app* can opt-in.

macOS is stuck in the past. The dock also needs a redesign. Window snapping is completely missing. The Unix utilities are years out of date. Windows is better these days, especially with WSL. Plus you can get a keyboard with > 1mm of travel, USB-A ports, less bezel, etc.
