      All else being equal, if you “wanted” to do something but then didn’t do it, it means you didn’t actually want to do it. Maybe you thought you should, you recognised the value etc. But that is very different to actually wanting something. You have no problem doing what you want.

      ahh, thanks for being understanding. I figured you'd just call me a leech and subtly imply the world would be better if I was homeless and died, that's generally what tends to happen when people say panglossian things like "if you didn't do something, you didn't want to do it"
