I love hypnosis and it bums me out that hardly anyone I know is into it. Several of my friends listen to my hypnosis audios, but I'd like to talk about it in depth etc.

I'm kinda surprised that hypnosis isn't a bigger thing. I guess it associates with woo for a lot of people, even though it's used medically, therapeutically and in sports a lot. And the basics are quite easy to learn.

I think part of PR thing is the association with all types of woo and con artists. But also it's very hard to define and maybe it's not its own thing? Seems to be bit of a "hacker" culture in hypnosis of just taking what you need to produce the desired effects.
