Court has a big scary gate, a sign says something about prisoners. Of course! They have to come here. Security asked me to drink some of my water and not bring forks. Were genuine about metal detection. The room I’m in now has a view of the Tower of London. Apt.

We are in a room waiting for a video induction I think. We are being seated in the order we arrived. In the back few rows with me is one man and 12 women. The latecomers at the front are more of a mix.

There’s a creepy tannoy system in this room that will amplify (and encode for hearing aids) the staff voice at the front desk, but right now it’s just on and picking up sounds of the staff in the tea room.
