Had this exact thought the other day that all religions are true. From Saints and Psychopaths by William L Hamiltonpic.twitter.com/Z4riL2L7AQ
As a Christian, I wonder if my musings on Buddhism aren't hindered in the same way as this person's musings on Christianity. Imo, the respective cosmologies and topologies of the soul result in different symbolic schemes.
Christianity doesn't have an equivalent of enlightenment, so looking for enlightenment in Christians feels buddhist-centered. Similarly, looking for theosis in Buddhists feels like a way of centering myself yet again.
This writer was raised a Christian, and talks about how other Christians have pointed to Saints as enlightened people

Nathan Spears added,
No I guess not. I think *every* religion is pointing to the moon though?
In short, I think metaphysics is about our participation in reality creating the future. And I don't think religions have the same vision of the future, so I'm not sure they're all pointing at the same moon.
A more optimistic take could be that religions are converging on the same vision of the future over time.
Thank you for explaining :) I agree with this part: " I think metaphysics is about our participation in reality creating the future"
