Not sure if this is a noob insight, but I just realized that you can distribute weight to different muscles in the very same exercise posture.
Took me ages to realise push ups are meant to train your tricep?!! And how inappropriate that is for people with weak triceps. Did train my chest quite a lot tho

Right??? So, in fact, the spacing of your arms can change which muscle but yeah, shoulder width apart is meant to be tricep
